This cake was a huge success during my last trail run and as always, I am asked for the recipe, so here it is for all of you my loyal readers.I am a fan of spices, as you will notice, but that's what makes this cake so charming.
Cake gloubi-boulga, The recipe :)
Ingredients for 2 cakes
350g of flour,
1 packet of yeast,
1 teaspoon of level spices (cinnamon, ginger, coriander) or for spice blends 1 tablespoon full of (cinnamon, ginger, coriander + cloves, turmeric, caraway)
250g of sugarü 250 ml of oil (sunflower) or my oil mixture version (sunflower, walnut)
5 beautiful eggs or 6 small
750g of raisins (Corinth, sultana)
100g of candied orange or lemon peels
100g of hazelnuts, coarsely chopped almonds and a few almonds to garnish
50 g of squash and sunflower seeds... personally I put what I have at home, like dates, candied cherries ..Many of you have asked me for it so here it is :)
Preparation
mix flour, baking powder, sugar and spices
Add the oil, eggs 1 by 1 and all the dried fruits, working well because the dough is thick
butter and flour 2 molds carefully
Pour into the molds, level the top, place the almonds and cook over low heat (140 °) 1h20 or a little more if necessary (do the knife test inside ... if it comes out dry it's cooked)
Unmould immediately: the cake is delicious when stale and keeps very well in the fridge.You can even freeze one.This recipe can be lightened
